What is Membership at Heartland?

Church membership is a covenant commitment to the gathering, growing, giving, gifting in our house. It's more than attending services, it's choosing to be intentionally planted in the local church, to come under biblical teaching, to serve alongside others, and to be known, cared for, and held accountable in community.

Any given Sunday, you will walk into Church of the Heartland and experience our Core Values in action. These are not a set of aspirational goals but traits that we live by every single day.

Why is membership important?

Why is membership important?

Why is membership important?

Membership at Heartland affirms that God has placed you in this specific body, not just to receive but to contribute your gifts, time, and heart for the mission of Jesus. By becoming a member, you are publicly declaring, "This is my church. These are my people. I'm committed to the life, mission, and spiritual growth of this house."

  1. At Church of the Heartland,
discipleship is at the core of
who we are. We believe every
follower of Jesus is called to both
    be discipled and make disciples.
    It’s not optional, it’s essential.
    That’s why we intentionally focus
on five key areas of growth that
    shape us into fully devoted
    followers of Christ.

  2. WHAT IT TAKES

Our Vision for you and our church is simple: ordinary people available for God to do the extraordinary through. We believe that through The Gathering, The Growing, The Giving, and The Gifting (or the 4 G's as we call it), you too can be used by God in extraordinary ways.

Church membership provides spiritual covering, clarity, and care.
As a member, you are intentionally known, shepherded, and supported within a local church family. Membership offers a clear discipleship pathway, meaningful community, and opportunities to grow in purpose and responsibility. It also provides practical benefits—pastoral care in life’s major moments, access to leadership development, and the assurance that you are not walking out your faith alone, but alongside people committed to your growth and wellbeing.
