His Presence for All

“One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon…”
— Acts 3:1 (NIV)
It was just another day. Or so it seemed.
Peter and John were doing what they had likely done hundreds of times before — walking toward the temple for the daily hour of prayer. But this day was different. This was one day that heaven had marked, a day when the ordinary would collide with the miraculous.
They encountered a man who had sat at the temple gate called Beautiful every day of his life, begging for coins and getting passed by. But this time, Peter didn’t offer him spare change — he offered him transformation.
“Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
— Acts 3:6 (NIV)
And in a moment — his life changed forever.
What If Today Is Someone’s “One Day”?
At Church of the Heartland, we live with this conviction: Today could be someone’s “One Day.”
The day someone walks in addicted and leaves free.
The day a dad returns to Christ after decades away.
The day a young girl feels the love of God for the first time.
The day someone destined for destruction gets rerouted by grace.
And here’s the thing — they may not be your One Day person, but they are someone’s.
And because of that, we prepare like revival is in the room.
Who Is Your One Day?
We all have someone — a spouse, a sibling, a friend, a co-worker — who hasn’t yet encountered the saving presence of Jesus. Maybe they’re jaded by religion, stuck in addiction, or just going through the motions of life. But we don’t give up on them.
Because Jesus didn’t give up on us.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise... Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
— 2 Peter 3:9 (NIV)
So we keep inviting.
We keep praying.
We keep believing.
We live every Sunday as if this could be their moment. Their “One Day.”
Because even if they don’t walk through the doors this week, someone else will.

This Is Why We Serve Like We Do
When you hold a door, lead a song, rock a baby, or run a camera — you’re not just volunteering.
You’re making room for someone’s “One Day.”
What if the way you greeted someone today gave them courage to stay?
What if the message on your screen or the lyric in your song becomes the moment God speaks directly to someone’s heart?
Excellence isn’t about perfection — it’s about expectation.
We do everything with purpose and passion, because we believe every gathering could be the day that someone encounters God in a life-changing way.
Expectation Changes Everything
If you knew today was the day your One Day person would be here — how would that change the way you worship?
The way you pray during the week?
The way you prepare your heart on a Sunday morning?
We must become a church that doesn’t just hope for revival — we live ready for it. Every Sunday. Every room. Every person.
Because…
“Today is the day of salvation.”
— 2 Corinthians 6:2 (ESV)
Don’t Stop Chasing
Someone prayed you into the Kingdom.
Someone didn’t give up on you.
Now it’s your turn.
Keep showing up.
Keep chasing that One Day person with love, faith, and persistence.
And trust that the same Spirit who healed the man at the gate is still at work today.
Today is someone’s One Day.
Let’s make room for the miracle.
